HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has announced that First Lady Janet Kataaha is out of danger after she tested COVID-19 negative.

Via his X handle, Museveni thanked his bazzukulu for their powerful prayers that saw Janet defeating COVID.

”Good news: Maama Janet has defeated Coronavirus. This morning, her samples were sent to Mbarara and they were all negative. Thank you for your prayers,” said Museveni.

”Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu.
Greetings, again.

Congratulations on finishing 2023 and entering 2024.

Good news: Maama Janet has defeated Coronavirus. This morning, her samples were sent to Mbarara and they were all negative. Thank you for your prayers.

Two days ago, I checked, again, for corona and the results were negative like they were on the 26th of December, 2023. The doctors are now saying that corona spreads more through touching yourself on the soft parts of the body (the eyes, the nose, the mouth, etc.) with infected hands than even through breathing. Is it true? Hon. Jane Aceng, please clarify to all.

Maama is now out of self-isolation. She fought bravely. Praised be the Lord.

To watch are the door handles, tables, arm-chairs that need to be sanitized and documents and, of course, the unnecessary hand shaking.

Is COVID Still A Threat?

The simple answer is YES. According to scientists, COVID-19 is still a pandemic, and the virus continues to mutate into other variants, infecting people and in some cases, resulting in death.

When Will The Pandemic End?

To answer this, we can look to history as an example, said Mike Cruz, MD, chief operating officer for OSF HealthCare, referring to the Spanish flu pandemic from 1918 to 1920.

“Literally a hundred years ago, we saw waves of infection where a lot of people died,” Dr. Cruz said.

That pandemic caused more than 550,000 deaths in the U.S. and more than 20 million worldwide. As of early May, COVID-19 has caused nearly 1.131 million deaths in the U.S. and 6.92 million worldwide.

“The COVID-19 virus itself is going to act its way, as we’ve already seen. There will be waves, new mutations and changes. It’s probably here indefinitely,” said Dr. Cruz, who oversaw the OSF response to the pandemic. “We still have people in the intensive care unit and some on ventilators, of whom some will succumb to the virus. The virus is still here with us.”
