The Bank of Uganda (BoU) has declared 40 job openings for the role of Banking Officer II, specifically inviting recent graduates who are keen to launch their careers in the banking industry. The Banking Officer II roles are available to candidates with First Class or Upper Second-Class degrees from accredited universities. Applicants from a variety of fields including Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Library & Information Science, Human Resource, Procurement, Public Relations, and Law (with a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice) are all encouraged to apply.
The desired qualifications encompass a variety of skills such as analytical thinking, meticulousness, teamwork, interpersonal abilities, integrity, transparency, problem-solving capabilities, and superior written and verbal communication. Applicants should also be no more than 26 years old at the time of the advertisement’s closure.
For those interested, the application process involves submitting an application letter, a copy of their National Identity Card (Front and Back), a detailed Curriculum Vitae following the standard BoU format, and copies of academic qualifications and professional training certificates.
Applications should be personally delivered to the Bank of Uganda Headquarters at Plot 37/45 Kampala Road, clearly labeled with “Application for the Position of Banking Officer II” and addressed to the Director of the Human Resource Department.
The application deadline is scheduled for the 2nd of April 2024. BoU stresses that any applicant found with hidden or falsified information and academic credentials will be disqualified.
