In a demonstration of her commitment to community service and leadership, Khalayi Peace, an aspiring woman MP of Namisindwa district has led a voluntary clean-up exercise in Bumbo Town Council with the aim of promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more conducive environment for all.
During this exercise, Khalayi joined by residents, local leaders, and supporters, rolled up her sleeves to pick up trash, sweep streets, and beautify public spaces.
“I believe that leadership is about action, not just words,” Khalayi said. “As an aspiring MP, I want to show that I’m willing to get my hands dirty to make a positive impact in our community.”
The clean-up exercise is part of Team Khalayi’s broader platform to improve waste management and promote environmental sustainability.
We have learnt that this project will run through all the town councils of Namisindwa District.
