Pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s ambitious “Pentagon” church project has stalled due to a lack of funds. The project, estimated to cost Shs120 billion, has only received Shs7 billion in donations, falling short of the required 30% deposit of Shs30 billion.
Bugingo informed his congregation that the current funds are insufficient to even bring materials to the site. The project’s cost has increased from the initial Shs100 billion estimated in 2019 due to inflation and rising costs.
