A drive to mobilise people to donate Shs1,000 towards a Shs1 billion effort for HIV/AIDS care has been launched.

“A new campaign, ‘1000 Shs for 1 Billion,’ aims to raise Shs1 billion for HIV/AIDS care by encouraging individuals to donate Shs1,000 each. The initiative comes in response to funding cuts, and seeks to generate sustainable resources for HIV/AIDS support. According to Ingrid Nyesigye Muhwezi, Programme Manager for Health Promotion and Community Engagement, this grassroots effort will help ensure continued care for those affected by HIV/AIDS.”
