Luxury Redefined: Vista Apartments Naguru Opens With Spiritual Blessings & Sold-Out Units, Only 4 Units Left

By Annet Kobusingye

Living Group, a key player in the Ruparelia Group’s expansive real estate portfolio, has officially unveiled its latest premium residential development — Vista Apartments Naguru. The soft launch, held on Friday, July 11, 2025, marked a significant milestone in Uganda’s property landscape as the 31-unit luxury complex opened its doors to the public.

The development has already proven to be a market hit, with a senior Living Group representative confirming that 90% of the units were sold ahead of the unveiling. “This achievement reflects the strong confidence that both homebuyers and investors have in our brand and in the strategic appeal of the Naguru location,” the representative noted. Only four units remain available.

The day’s events began with sacred Havan prayers from 10:00 AM to midday — a spiritual tradition that aligns with the founders’ belief in respecting the natural and social environment of any development site. “We always do one prayer when we begin and one when we finish,” said Sheena Ruparelia, one of the founding members. “Construction disrupts the ecosystem — people, insects, nature — and we ask for blessings and forgiveness for all who will inhabit the space.”

The evening culminated in a grand cocktail reception at the newly completed complex, drawing real estate investors, community leaders, development partners, and distinguished guests. The atmosphere was one of celebration, connection, and reflection on a project that blends luxury, community, and social responsibility.

A Rising Force In Uganda’s Real Estate

Vista Apartments is the second project by The Living Group (TLG), a fast-rising developer founded just five years ago by Rajiv Ruparelia (RIP), Meera Ruparelia, Rides Zakaria, and Sheena Ruparelia. Their debut venture, Bukoto Living, sold out shortly after launch, laying the groundwork for the more ambitious Vista Naguru.

Nestled in the upscale neighborhood of Naguru, the project offers a curated mix of two, three, four, and even five-bedroom apartments. Priced between UGX 350 million and UGX 700 million depending on size and stage of purchase, Vista targets Uganda’s emerging middle and upper-middle income earners.

“Our goal was always to provide affordable luxury — homes that people are proud to live in, without compromising quality,” Sheena explained. “Uganda is facing a serious housing deficit, and we wanted to offer something that combines value, beauty, and long-term security.”

Unlike many modern developments that prioritize profit over purpose, Vista Apartments was built with a strong community-first ethos. “The scarcity of land in Kampala means we must think vertically,” Sheena noted. “But that doesn’t mean sacrificing community. It allows us to design spaces where people truly connect.”

This philosophy manifests in unique amenities such as a rooftop bicycle track, walking trails, a communal bar area, children’s play zones, and family-friendly gathering spaces. The intention, according to TLG, is not just to build structures, but to create intentional living environments.

Social Impact & Empowerment

TLG’s commitment to community extends beyond the apartment gates. During construction, the team witnessed local children trekking long distances to fetch water. In response, they funded and built a borehole for the nearby village — a resource that will remain permanently free to the community.

“We saw them struggling, and we thought of our late partner — what he would’ve done. So we made the decision on the spot,” Sheena shared. Agreements with local leaders were swiftly executed to ensure its sustainability.

Another highlight of the launch was a donation drive, with over 500 children in the area receiving shoes from TLG. “It’s our way of saying thank you to the community that welcomed us and allowed us to grow,” she added.

Each apartment in The Vista is sold as a condominium with an individual land title registered with Uganda’s Ministry of Lands. TLG says this model ensures transparency and long-term value. “Ownership is very clear. Buyers get full titles and the freedom to live in, rent out, or sell their property,” the developers emphasised.

Despite rising construction costs in Uganda — particularly the price of imported materials — the group remains committed to long-lasting quality. “Yes, building costs are high, but we are not building for now. We are building for the future,” Sheena affirmed.

With mortgage access gradually expanding in Uganda, TLG is optimistic that longer-term home financing — up to 30 years — will soon be a reality. “People are realising that owning a home is more than comfort. It’s about stability, family, and securing your future,” Sheena said.

As Uganda’s middle class grows and the need for thoughtful housing intensifies, Vista Apartments Naguru sets a compelling benchmark. It’s not just a housing project — it’s a blueprint for inclusive, modern, and Ugandan-centric urban living.

From architectural innovation and spiritual grounding to community upliftment and financial transparency, the unveiling of Vista Apartments is more than a ribbon-cutting ceremony — it’s a symbol of a new era in real estate.
