In a strategic move aimed at enhancing collaboration and operational efficiency, TotalEnergies Uganda has consolidated three of its key entities into a modern, unified workspace dubbed “T-Hive”, located in the prestigious RR Pearl One Building on Yusuf Lule Road.
The relocation, announced on December 1, brings together TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda Limited, TotalEnergies EP Uganda, and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) under one roof at the 25-storey Grade A office tower. The building, developed by business tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia, sits opposite the National Land Information Centre in Kampala’s rapidly growing Pearl Business Park.
The new workspace reflects TotalEnergies’ “One TotalEnergies, One Country” vision, designed to foster innovation, streamline workflows, and enhance employee well-being. Staff involvement played a central role in shaping the identity of the space, including its name, which was inspired by employee creativity and collaboration.
“Hello and welcome to T-Hive, our vibrant new home at Pearl Business Park Tower One,” TotalEnergies Uganda said in a statement. “This building brings three of our entities together under one roof. The name T-Hive was born out of staff creativity, a reminder that this space belongs to all of us.”
By consolidating operations that were previously spread across multiple locations, the move is expected to improve coordination, accelerate decision-making, and create a more dynamic work environment.
The T-Hive features more than 400 parking spaces across multiple basement levels, electric vehicle charging stations, and a ground-floor Bonjour convenience shop. Accessibility and sustainability are key priorities, with wheelchair-friendly washrooms, waste segregation systems, and a dedicated mothers’ room to support working parents.
Security is managed through chipped access badges and discreetly placed cameras in shared areas, striking a balance between safety and employee privacy. A shared medical clinic on the ground floor will serve all entities, while flexible workstations, sound-proof bubble rooms for confidential meetings, and coffee lounges are designed to encourage collaboration.
Office space has been carefully allocated to support operational needs. The first floor houses TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda; the second floor accommodates TotalEnergies EP Uganda’s reception, human resources, contracts, procurement, logistics, and field operations; while the third floor hosts finance, IT, project management, and a cafeteria with panoramic views and a fully equipped kitchen.
Upper floors are reserved for specialized teams, including drilling, health, safety and environment, social performance, business development, corporate affairs, legal, geoscience, and EACOP operations. A modern coffee bar and mini lounge within the cafeteria add a hospitality touch for visitors and staff interactions.
The consolidation marks a significant milestone in TotalEnergies Uganda’s long-term strategy to integrate its downstream marketing, upstream exploration and production, and pipeline development activities. Industry observers view the move as a strong vote of confidence in Kampala’s evolving commercial real estate sector, spearheaded by developments such as RR Pearl One, now regarded as a benchmark for modern corporate infrastructure.
As Uganda advances its energy ambitions, including the landmark EACOP project, initiatives like T-Hive underscore TotalEnergies’ commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and a supportive workplace culture.
