Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, renowned business magnate and long-time ambassador for Uganda on the international tourism stage, today graced the launch of the Uganda Tourism Association (UTA) Strategic Plan 2026–2030 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
For decades, Dr. Sudhir has been at the forefront of promoting Uganda’s tourism, earning numerous accolades for his unwavering commitment to showcasing the country’s natural beauty and cultural heritage to the world. His presence at the event was celebrated as a testament to his enduring impact on the sector.
The launch brought together industry leaders, government officials, and stakeholders, where vision, collaboration, and panoramic views converged to chart a roadmap for the future of Uganda’s tourism. The UTA Strategic Plan 2026–2030 represents more than a policy document—it embodies the resilience, innovation, and vast potential driving Uganda’s tourism forward.
Tourism remains a cornerstone of Uganda’s national development agenda, driving economic transformation, creating jobs across the country, and reinforcing the nation’s position as a destination of choice on the global map.
“The success of this Strategic Plan is the result of collective effort and shared purpose,” noted UTA officials, acknowledging the contributions of member associations and individual members who played a vital role in shaping the blueprint for the sector’s growth.
With champions like Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia leading by example, Uganda’s tourism industry is poised for a promising future, where innovation, sustainability, and global recognition remain at the heart of its development.
