Dokolo By-Election: Museveni Expected To Campaign For Adongo

President Museveni, who also serves as the National Chairperson of the National Resistance Movement Party, is set to visit Dokolo today. His visit aims to rally support for Janet Adong, the party’s candidate in the upcoming district woman Parliamentary by-election.

Emmanuel Dombo, the NRM’s director of communications, has announced that two rallies will take place today, marking the final day of campaigning before Thursday’s by-election.

The election has attracted five candidates, all vying to fill the seat left vacant by the late Cecilia Ogwal, who passed away on January 18th. The candidates include Dr. Rosemary Alwoc, the deceased’s daughter and FDC candidate, Sarah Aguti of UPC, independent candidate Dr. Esther Akullo, and Harriet Ageno from the National Unity Platform.

As the campaigns draw to a close today, other political heavyweights have also descended on the district to drum up support for their respective parties.

The Forum for Democratic Change, under the leadership of party president Patrick Amuriat, has been camped in the district since last week, backing their candidate Dr. Rose Mary Alwoc.

Jimmy Akena, the president of the Uganda People’s Congress (UPC), who is campaigning for Sarah Aguti, has pledged to remain in the district until the final vote is cast.

Robert Kyagulanyi, the leader of the National Unity Platform, arrived in Dokolo over the weekend to show his support for Harriet Ageno. However, he was reportedly denied access to a local radio station where he was scheduled to appear on a talk show.

If a fish starts to rot from the head , what happens to the other parts of the body?. And if parents defecate into the house, what do you think the children do?.
Uganda is a dead country if they can’t stop corruption. God have mercy on the innocent citizens of Uganda
