Alleged Visa Fraud & Worker Exploitation: American Accused Of Orchestrating Arrests In Mbale

By Our Reporter

An alarming incident in Mbale has raised serious questions about the integrity of law enforcement and the plight of Ugandan workers. Reports indicate that an American national, who allegedly forged a visa to enter Uganda, ordered the arrest of local workers employed by the J4:14 Foundation. These workers were reportedly detained at Mbale City CPS after demanding their unpaid wages.

Disturbingly, it is alleged that this individual managed to enter Uganda through fraudulent means facilitated by an online platform and was aided by a Member of Parliament, identified as Patrick. The man’s brother, Joseph, is also accused of leveraging his connections with some individuals in the Special Forces Command (SFC) and a GISO from Bukedi to intimidate and harass the local population.

The incident has sparked outrage, with citizens questioning how such operations could occur within Uganda’s borders. Concerns have been raised about the unchecked presence and activities of foreigners in Uganda, especially following comments by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), who previously warned about covert operations by some foreign nationals in the country.

The actions of this foreigner, coupled with alleged complicity from local officials, have led to calls for an urgent investigation by the Uganda Police Force and the Office of the CDF. Citizens are demanding accountability and justice for the workers who were reportedly victimized.

This incident highlights broader concerns about the exploitation of vulnerable Ugandans and the need for stringent measures to regulate the entry and activities of foreigners in the country. Authorities are urged to take swift action to address this matter and restore confidence in the justice system.
