Rapper Fresh Kid Credits Dr. Sudhir, Rajiv For His Successful Primary Journey At Kampala Parents

By Annet Kobusingye

At just 11 years old, Fresh Kid, the Ugandan child rapper, has proven that his talents extend far beyond music. The young star, whose real name is Patrick Ssenyonjo, has today made headlines not for his music career but for his outstanding academic performance, thanks to big hearted Ruparelia group headed by tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia and Rajiv Ruparelia that awarded him a multimillion bursary.

Fresh Kid has earned a remarkable 11 aggregates in the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), a testament to his dedication and hard work in the classroom.

In a year where his peers were focused on exams, Fresh Kid continued to show he is more than just a viral rapper, excelling with distinctions in English and Science, a credit in Social Studies, and a pass in Mathematics. His performance has garnered praise from across the country, highlighting the balance he’s been able to maintain between his career and his education.

Fresh Kid’s success is also a reflection of the high academic standards at Kampala Parents School, where he studies. The school proudly reported that all 210 of its candidates achieved Division One rankings in the 2024 PLE, with many scoring between 4 and 6 aggregates. This is a continuation of the school’s tradition of excellence, which has only strengthened over the years, with the 2024 results showing an increase in top scorers compared to previous years.

While Uganda’s overall pass rate for the 2024 PLE stood at an impressive 91.8%, Fresh Kid’s achievement stands out as not just a personal triumph but also a broader example of how young people can juggle diverse passions and talents. It’s a reminder that education, much like music, can be a platform for young people to shine and break new ground.
