NRM Speaks Out Against Electoral Violence

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has expressed concern over the violence that marred the recent Kawempe North by-elections. NRM Secretary General Richard Todwong emphasized the need to prevent such occurrences as the country approaches the upcoming general elections.

Todwong warned against the practice of sponsoring goons, which was evident in Kawempe, and urged all political actors to promote peaceful elections. This call to action comes amid rising political tensions and a history of electoral violence in the country.
