A tragic incident occurred in Muterere town council, Bugiri district, where a one-year-old girl, Rehema Namudoola, was brutally murdered. Derrick Kefa, a resident of the area, has been arrested for allegedly hitting the toddler twice on the ground, causing her instant death.
- Eyewitnesses report that Kefa had entered a local shop, carrying the baby, and while the shop owner was preparing a drink, she heard the baby cry. Upon opening the door, she witnessed Kefa hitting the toddler, who was later found lifeless on the ground.
Kefa attempted to flee the scene, but was apprehended by residents and handed over to the Bugiri central police station. The incident has sparked outrage in the community, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the toddler’s death.
