Ahead of the Muslim Inter-University Games hosted by Makerere University Business School (MUBS), ONC Manager Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo held high-level talks with the university’s Principal, Prof. Moses Muhwezi, in a move aimed at strengthening support for student entrepreneurs.
Prof. Muhwezi commended Namyalo’s ongoing youth empowerment initiatives, noting that they align closely with MUBS’s objective of nurturing financially independent, skilled community leaders.
Following the meeting, MUBS and the ONC agreed to jointly roll out a student-centred SACCO scheme, designed to provide accessible, low-interest credit, specifically targeting students who run personal businesses alongside their studies to support themselves.
